White-label setup checklist — 16 items, self-audit.

The four sections and sixteen items Raffi expects when standing up your firm’s white-label portal. Self-audit your readiness, save progress in your browser, email results to start setup.

TL;DR

White-label readiness isn’t one thing — it’s sixteen small decisions across domain, visual identity, email infrastructure, and brand-isolation controls. Most agencies arrive at setup conversations missing a third of these. The walk-through then spends 30 minutes confirming items the agency could have checked in advance.

This tool is the cheat sheet. Sixteen items in four sections, real-time progress bar, browser auto-save. Hit “Email my results” when done; we wrap remaining items during the 15-minute walk-through. Pre-walk-through prep typically cuts setup time from ~6 hours to ~90 minutes.

Why these sixteen specifically?

Domain (4 items). The first surface your clients reach. A custom domain or subdomain makes the portal feel like your firm, not a third-party tool. DNS access lets us point the subdomain at Raffi’s infrastructure via CNAME. SSL provisions automatically through Approximated.app once DNS resolves. A fallback URL catches unmatched routes — usually your main marketing site.

Visual identity (6 items).Logo (light + dark), primary + accent hex colors, favicon, and OG image. These render across the portal header, login screens, email invites, candidate-facing pages, and social shares. SVG logos preferred — they scale across every display density without artifacts.

Email & sender identity (4 items).Every email leaving the portal — interview invites, candidate confirmations, client notifications — should look like it came from your firm. FROM address + reply-to + display name + footer HTML. We walk through DNS records (SPF + DKIM) during setup so deliverability stays clean.

Brand-isolation controls (4 items). The fine controls. The “Powered by Raffi” badge is hidden by default on Growth; some agencies leave it on as a differentiation signal. Social handles + tagline render in OG meta + email footers. Legal entity name ships on candidate invoices and offer paperwork — must match your registered firm.

Missing items don’t block setup — we generate sensible defaults during the walk-through (dark-mode logo from your primary, favicon from your 512×512 source, tagline if you have a marketing description). The more items you check before the walk-through, the closer to a 15-minute setup the conversation lands.

Frequently asked questions

Why 16 items — what's the canonical list?
Four sections of four items each: Domain (custom domain, DNS access, SSL, fallback URL) · Visual (light + dark logos, primary + accent colors, favicon, OG image) · Email (FROM address, reply-to, FROM name, footer HTML) · Brand isolation (powered-by toggle, social handles, tagline, legal entity). These are the exact fields our white-label backend reads when standing up a new agency tenant. Missing any of them means manual fill-in at setup time; having all 16 means automated 15-minute setup.
Does Raffi actually provide all 16 of these as configurable?
Yes. Verified via code audit 2026-05-28. Full breakdown in our /for-agencies page. The white-label infrastructure ships on Growth tier ($599/mo); Pro and Free tiers use Raffi's default branding.
What if I don't have one of these items yet — say, no dark-mode logo?
Leave it unchecked. The checklist measures your readiness; missing items don't block setup, they just mean we create defaults during the walk-through. A dark-mode logo we generate from your primary logo. A favicon we generate from your 512×512 source. A tagline we draft if you have a marketing-friendly description handy. Setup proceeds either way.
Will my checklist data save if I close the browser?
Yes, everything saves to your browser's localStorage automatically — no signup required. If you clear cookies / localStorage or use private browsing, you'll start fresh. To preserve across devices, hit the 'Email my results' button at the bottom — generates a copy in your inbox.
How long does the actual setup take once we send our results?
Typical agencies go from completed checklist to live white-label portal within one business day. DNS propagation is the slowest variable (30 min to 6 hours typical). Brand asset upload + portal config takes ~15 minutes. We schedule the walk-through, confirm any open items, and stand up the portal in the same session.
Is there a way to share the checklist with my co-founder / team?
Two options today: (1) hit 'Copy results as markdown' to paste into Slack / email / Notion (preserves all check-states); (2) hit 'Email my results' which generates a mailto: with the structured checklist in the body — forward that email to your team. Shared state across browsers requires signup, which we don't gate the tool behind. Roadmap item for Q4.
